The motto of The Rotary Foundation is "Do Good in the World".

Our Club mirrors that locally by supporting our Community both in Projects and in grants where our help would be beneficial.

Giving Guidelines
The Rotary Club of Chatham will accept donation requests through the year; however, the Committee will review and approve requests on a quarterly basis.  Approval or denial will be communicated to the requester.  Requests over $5,000 will be forwarded to the Board of Directors and must be approved by the Club.

General Guidelines
All requests for donations are to be made in writing with sufficient documentation and lead time so that the committee can review and provide recommendations to the Board. A project or request should be located in Chatham-Kent or serve Chatham-Kent residents. Provincial or National organizations must provide a substantial direct benefit to the Chatham-Kent community to be considered.
Requests will:
  • Conform to Rotary International Goals
  • Conform to Rotary’s four-way test
  • Support Rotary mission statement

Rotary Club of Chatham will typically not contribute to the following:
  • Organizations, groups or events that have a major funding source
  • Fundraisers/events designed to raise dollars to fund/donate/grant to another institution
  • Individuals
  • Religious and Political affiliations
