The Rotary Club of Chatham Banquet Committee is pleased to announce that our guest speaker for this year’s Banquet, to be held on October 3rd at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre, is Ken Hewitt.
Ken Hewitt was born in 1967, the last time the Toronto Maple Leafs hoisted the Stanley Cup. Ken knows patience and payoff. After three decades as a practicing financial advisor and owner of a thriving planning firm, he has helped hundreds of families and business owners map the transition of assets, land and legacy.
Ken’s public‑service streak is just as deep: three terms as Mayor of Haldimand County, a Queen’s Jubilee Medal, and a current role on the Ontario Land Tribunal, where he weighs in on everything from minor variances to multi‑million‑dollar zoning decisions.
In the heart of Southwestern Ontario’s rich agricultural belt, Ken speaks on “The Transfer of Generational Wealth.” With trademark humour and hard‑won insight, he shows producers and entrepreneurs how to protect family harmony, minimize tax, and keep the farm or enterprise thriving for the next generation.
The cost for this event is $69.50 and includes Hunter’s Chicken Supreme - pan‑seared, finished in white wine with fresh tarragon, braised wild mushrooms, and a hint of rosemary, served alongside his signature roasted seasonal vegetables. Dessert is New York cheesecake crowned with fruit compote!
